Testimonials
We had a wonderful time here! As soon as you walk into
the house you're filled with all these beautiful smells
- the house is decorated so nice.
Debbie - You should open up another business - selling
your great pies!! They were awesome. And the breakfast
was sensational - I couldn't eat anything else until
dinner.
We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone.
Good luck with all your future endeavors. You are great
people!
Best wishes,
Lori & Gary - Cleveland, OH (3/28-30/05 - Lilacs
& Lace)

We just wanted to thank you for sharing
your beautiful home with us. Out of any bed and breakfast
that we have been to, this is far more in our book the
"Best". You and Terry are a beautiful couple.
(We just wanted to stay.) Our prayer is that God will
bless your marriage and your home with his unfailing
love and that as you open your home, others may feel
that love. Please come and visit us in California. We
would love to have you visit.
May God richly bless you both.
Love,
Willie & Lillie - Tracy, CA (3/24-27/05 - Lilacs

Thank you for a wonderful weekend! Breakfast
was outstanding and so was this beautiful room. Thank
you for your recommendations for everything (Francesco's,
Carson's Stables, the pretzel factory, etc.).
We had a great time!

Thanks so much for an enjoyable evening
and making Faye's birthday "Surprise." The
best part of any B&B is coming as "strangers"
and leaving as "friends."
Rich & Faye (2/5-6/05 - Lilacs & Lace)

Thank you for welcoming Greg and me into
your wonderful, cozy home. The Christmas decorations
were beautiful, and the apple cider and blueberry-cherry
pie were delicious. This is a place I hope to be able
to come back to some day. Thank you for your friendly
smiles and conversation and also the lovely gift. You
two are very thoughtful and would help to make anyone
that stays here forget their worries and have a relaxing
vacation.
Happy New Year! 2005
Again, thanks so much.

5 Stars to the Chestnut Hill B&B.
Amazing décor, ambiance and hospitality. Right
off the bat we knew we had amazingly caring hosts on
our first night when we got lost and Terry drove out
to get us. I'm from New York and the genuine kindness
really warmed my heart. We look forward to having amazing
eggs and juice and freshly baked muffins. Breakfast
won't ever be the same. Hope to see you guys soon. Maybe
we'll see each other again in Queens, NY.
Stella & Fernando (12/27-30/04 - Victorian)

Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful
home. Your hospitality and attention to every little
detail made our overnight stay very special. Our room
was absolutely lovely and comfortable and the holiday
decorations were gorgeous throughout the house - especially
in our room! We enjoyed relaxing in the living room
watching a movie and breakfast was just delicious.
We will spread the word about your B&B and wish
you both many successful years in this business. Making
guests feel at home as you do is certainly your best
advertisement.
Carol & Frank (12/1/04 - Lilacs & Lace)

Thanks for the great hospitality and excellent breakfasts.
Most of all, thank you for all the assistance you gave
James in planning the most romantic surprise proposal.
This is truly a weekend we will remember forever, one
to tell our grandchildren about.
Leigh (Toronto, Ontario) (12/3-6/04 - Victorian)

The friendly and warm atmosphere you've created here
complimented my plans for this weekend. Thank you for
staying up late to receive us from our long drive down
from Toronto, and for helping me out in finding the
way from place to place to make this weekend perfect
for my proposal to Leigh. We've been to many B&Bs
and very much appreciated the extra touches you've added
to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
James (Toronto, Ontario) 12/3-6/04 - Victorian)

We are sad to leave after all this time
but
no one will break our record for the "longest houseguests
staying at a B&B". We dare them!! (wink, wink!
Trying to generate a lot of business for you.)
We are happy to have you both added to our circle of
friends. We are expecting a visit from your family in
Germany!
We have had so much fun and laughs with you both and
thank you for such a memorable time. Your patience and
understanding with my husband is appreciated! We'll
never forget the beautiful words "breakfast appetizers".
I'll send you some of the digital pics of my sister's
wedding preparations (which I'm happy to say took place
here (Lilacs & Lace).
We will miss you both and also those wonderful muffins!
See you in Cologne!
Tracy & Klaus (Cologne, Germany) (10/31/04-11/13/04

What a wonderful, warm home ~ It's my Goddaughters
wedding and I thank you for making Stefanie's special
day a great memory!
P.S. I'll be back in the future!

Arrived from Bowie, MD at 2 p.m. Saturday,
October 23, 2004. The drive in was beautiful! A preview
of our room here. We were welcomed and shown around.
Loved our room right away. The décor was beautiful
and inviting. Reminded us of the ocean we could not
go to due to hurricane season (but a B&B was our
first choice!)
We had a nice afternoon lunch and returned to or room
for a game of Scrabble. Terry was very nice in providing
a movie which was not here, yet he went and rented it.
He was very patient with our three other times "bugging"
him for small items. (His response - "No bother
at all!") Our bed was extremely comfortable, the
detachable showerhead a great convenience and the room
temperature with the fan was perfect! Can't wait to
have breakfast Sunday! The blueberry and cherry pie
with apple cider a yummy treat for the night.
On Sunday, October 24, 2004, we awakened to the smells
of a delightful breakfast. It was wonderful! We had
yummy strawberry muffins while we waited for our selected
menu items. We enjoyed the pleasant company of the other
two couples, who left later in the morning. Thomas had
and loved the Belgian waffles and I had and loved the
Denver scrambled eggs. We discovered during breakfast
the house is heated by wood, no wonder the room temperature
was perfect! After breakfast Thomas got in a much needed
nap - back home he is way too busy to nap any day of
the week and I got the treat of reading an entire book
while listening to jazz. Back home I would be too busy
with housework. In a few minutes we will go down and
snuggle to a romantic movie - an uninterrupted treat
without "mom, mom, dad, dad" - from our attention
demanding son! This B&B was a much needed getaway.
The evening was superb! We invited Terry and Debbie
to join us for dinner at Francesco's. They were wonderful
company! We will be back for Valentine's Day. Could
not have asked for a better night!
Monday, October 25, 2004 - Preparing to checkout. Leaving
refreshed and already looking forward to coming back.
Thank you so much Terry & Debbie for welcoming us
in your home. God Bless the two of you for everything.
Every gesture was very much appreciated. We will recommend
you to friends and family!!
Thomas & Kelly (10/23-25/04 - Port Charleston)

From the warm peach crisp, to the Frangelico nightcap,
to the HUGE homemade breakfast that fueled us for the
day, your hospitality knew no bounds!!! We consider
ourselves very lucky to have found your retreat and
very blessed to have shared your home. Thanks so much!

Anyone can set a table.
Anyone can decorate a room.
And anyone can learn to make an omelet. It takes a special
gift to make a guest feel welcome in your home.
Rarely have we met two such gifted people. You make
this house a home-away-from-home.
Thank you for the extra care in making us feel so comfortable
in such beautiful surroundings.
Steven & Michele & Jordan (9/12/04 - Port Charleston)

"We had a wonderful, relaxing time.
Thank you for all the nice touches that made it feel
like home."
Jason and Andrea (2/20/04 - Victorian)

"We are on our way out. We arrived
Friday night around 10 p.m. to a warm and hearty welcome
from Terry and Debbie. We skied yesterday at Camelback
and had a wonderful day. It was not too cold out and
the sun was shining at full strength. Last night, by
the recommendation of Terry, we ate dinner at Il Caminos,
a fine Italian restaurant on Route 115. Apart for there
being a long wait for our entrees, the food was nutritious,
scrumptious, and delicious. As it was Valentine's Day
last night, we were pleasantly surprised to have found
a bottle of champagne in a glass bowl full of ice at
the foot of our door. Just one of the many classy touches
by Terry and Debbie at the Chestnuthill Bed & Breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming
back soon.
Raffi & Gia (2/15/04 - Lilacs & Lace)

"Loved it here!!! Our hosts were
fantastic always anticipating our needs and making our
stay very relaxing and pleasant."
Gabriella (2/14/04 - Garden Suite)

"It felt just like home!! The many
extra touches - chocolates, Frangelica and especially
the warmth and friendliness of the innkeepers, Debbie
and Terry.
Lissa (2/14/04 - Garden Suite)

It was
so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. The
Valentine champagne was such a nice surprise!!"
